On 6 June 2014 the 46th CIECA Congress under the title „Hazard Perception and the development of simulation techniques in the theory and practical tests“ took place in Dublin. Participants came from Europe and all over the world. The congress was hosted by Ireland’s Road Safety Authority. The Irish Minster for Transport, Tourism & Sport, Leo Varadkar gave a speech, and a.o. quoted the Irish Road Safety Strategy: ‘Training, as part of the driver testing and licensing programmes, will play a substantial role in enhancing behaviour, improving skills and reducing error making. Such training must be continually assessed and developed.’
